On March 29, the official Twitter accounts for CAPCOM's Mega Man game brand revealed that Ryo Takamisaki's latest chapter for the franchise's manga series, Mega Man Battle Network: The 20 Year Reunion, has been released in English. The chapter is free to read in Japanese and English on CAPCOM's website.
From 2004 through 2008, Viz Media published Takamisaki's MegaMan NT Warrior (Rockman.EXE) manga.
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, a collection of Mega Man Battle Network 1-6 Game Boy Advance titles, was released on April 14 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
The Mega Man franchise (also known as Rock Man in Japan) began in 1987 with the publication of the first Mega Man game on the Nintendo Famicom by CAPCOM. The franchise has since produced multiple games, the most recent of which, Mega Man 11, was published in North America in October 2018.
The Mega Man Zero / ZX Legacy Collection was released in January 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.
The franchise has also produced numerous manga and anime series, OVAs, and an American animated television series. In 2005, ADV Films released the Megaman: Upon a Star OVA. The first two seasons of the anime adaption were licensed by Viz Media and shown on the Kids WB television block. In addition, the Megaman Star Force anime was also licensed by Viz.
Supermarché is producing the intended live-action feature project for the property for Netflix.
